Playtech primed for New Jersey casino launch with bet365
London-listed supplier makes first foray into US online gambling market with bet365

Playtech will launch online casino operations in New Jersey after being granted regulatory approval from the state’s Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).
The gaming licence award rubber stamps Playtech’s first official foray into the US online gambling market and the supplier will soon launch with partner bet365, which itself has an agreement in place with Hard Rock Atlantic City.
The London-listed giant is expected to partner with more New Jersey operators in the coming months, while it also has plans to launch its suite of sports betting technology in the US.

Playtech CEO Mor Weizer
Playtech CEO Mor Weizer said: “This is a major milestone for Playtech. We are delighted to have met the stringent regulatory requirements of the DGE and to be launching in New Jersey with our long-standing strategic partner bet365.
“The US is a highly strategic market for Playtech and we see significant demand for the full breadth of our product offering.
“We are initially launching our online casino product in New Jersey and over time will increase our products on offer to include sports, platform and live casino, and we will continue to expand into further states as they regulate.
“This is the first step for Playtech in the US and we are very excited about the long-term opportunity,” he added.
Playtech established a commercial hub in New York’s Midtown as part of its US expansion plans back in November 2019.
