SKS365 to reopen 1,000 Italian retail shops amid Covid-19 lockdown relaxation
Planetwin365 operator to introduce “opening safety kits” as retail business ends three-month shutdown

SKS365 has confirmed all 1,000 Planetwin365 retail shops will reopen with strict health and safety measures across Italy to end a three-month absence during the Covid-19 lockdown.
In advance of the reopening, each retail premise has been sent an “opening safety kit” which includes hand sanitiser, face masks and dividing barriers to separate returning punters from shop staff.

Italy has been in lockdown since 8 March due to the coronavirus pandemic, with all Serie A football suspended. However, the Italian government has now said the league will resume on 20 June after Italian cup matches resumed at the weekend.
SKS365 CEO Alexander Martin welcomed the reopening of shops at a crucial time for the business following the return of Italian sport.
“Thanks to the enormous commitment of all parties, today we can say that our shops will reopen in a safe and even better operational way,” Martin said.
SKS365 CPO and CTO Jim Parkins confirmed the operator has made several major updates to its retail systems as part of the retail return, including implementing self-service technology for bettors.
“The new Planetwin365 self-service bet booking system represents the biggest change since the launch of our retail systems,” said Parkins.
“Apart from significantly improving the speed and experience placing bets, along with our market leading betting terminals, the new software will help shop owners and customers maintain safe social distancing,” he added.
Earlier this month, the Italy-focused bookmaker launched a new shop finding service on Google maps to allow customers to locate Planetwin365 shops across Italy.
