Dominik Beier stands down as Interwetten CEO
Speaker of the board exits after disagreement over the future development of Austria-founded sports betting operator

Dominik Beier has departed his role as Interwetten CEO due to conflicting views with the board over the future direction of the company.
Beier led the Austria-founded sports betting operator for just shy of two years, having been appointed CEO and speaker of the board back in February 2019 at just 27-years-old.
Beier, who formerly spent six years as global head of advertising and sponsorship sales for sports data provider Sportradar, confirmed his exit in an email to EGR.
It said: “I would like to inform you, that I will no longer be the speaker of the board for Interwetten.
“Due to different views on how to position and develop the company in the future, we took the common decision to separate our paths.
“Interwetten is definitely ready for the future, economically healthy and highly competitive. I am very sure that Interwetten, together with all employees and you as valued partners, will further write its success story.”

Board members Lisa Kuschinsky (CFO), Birgit Bosch (COO) and Helmut Otahal (CTO) will remain with the Germany-focused betting firm.
On LinkedIn, Beier thanked colleagues and supporters for an “inspiring and successful” time.
He said: “It’s been two great years at Interwetten Group. We have delivered, two times in a row, record revenues (2019 and 2020) and increased profitability.
“We have modernised processes, given the company a new communication strategy and lifted the product back to the top – all during hard times for the industry as well as big challenges for the whole society due to Covid-19.
“Thanks to all employees, the management team, suppliers, partners as well as all other companions and supporters for the very inspiring and successful time together. Now it’s time to take on the next challenge,” he added.
Interwetten finished 37th in the EGR Power 50 rankings for 2019.
