Gaming Realms strikes NetEnt licensing deal as Starburst gets Slingo makeover
Slingo Starburst to launch in 2021 as CFO Mark Segal hails “exciting collaboration for fans”

Gaming Realms has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with NetEnt to develop Slingo games based on the supplier’s vast portfolio of titles.
The agreement grants licensing rights to Gaming Realms, allowing the London-listed developer to combine its popular Slingo genre with the iconic features of the Starburst slot game.
The first game to be launched will be Slingo Starburst in early 2021, with more titles to follow in the future.
NetEnt CCO Andy Whitworth said: “To widen the reach of our portfolio and build brand awareness in new markets is a vital part of our strategy.
“Gaming Realms has an extraordinary reach among Slingo fans, especially in the US.
“We are certain that great games will come from combining Gaming Realms’ expertise, the Slingo grid mechanic and our renowned IP,” he added.
Gaming Realms last month recorded a 66% year-on-year rise in H1 2020 revenue to £5.2m.
Commenting on the deal, Gaming Realms CFO Mark Segal said: “We’re thrilled to have secured the licensing rights to NetEnt brands – their slot games have dominated the gaming industry for years.
“The combination of Slingo and Starburst will create a new game of significant global stature bringing together the best features of both, making this collaboration very exciting for fans.”
