Kindred reaffirms Italian market commitment despite 32Red withdrawal
Stockholm-listed operator reveals “difficult choice” to focus solely on Unibet brand amid review of jurisdictional exposure

32Red will exit the Italian online gambling market from 30 November, parent company Kindred Group has confirmed.
A message to Italian players on the 32Red.it revealed the shuttering of the online casino site, with Kindred instead choosing to focus its efforts on the Unibet brand, which operates its own online casino and sports betting games in the country.
“We are sorry to inform you that starting from 30 November, 32Red will no longer be operational,” the message read.
“It was a difficult choice to make. But we hope that these years spent together have been fantastic for you, as much as they have been for us,” the message added.
The Stockholm-listed operator revealed that all bonuses must be claimed by 22 November and advised players to withdraw all monies from the site by 29 November.
“Looking to the future, we recommend Unibet.it, our sister brand, which will guarantee 32Red.it players the warm welcome they deserve,” the message concludes.
32Red’s Italian site was powered by Microgaming under an Italian licence operated from the firm’s Gibraltar headquarters.
“Kindred remains committed to the Italian market,” a spokesperson for Kindred told EGR.
“We are constantly reviewing our brand footprint and wish to provide our customers with the best brand option and experience,” Kindred added.
Unibet recorded online gross gaming revenue of €458,504 in Italy for September 2020.
