Rank Interactive recruits new head of game strategy
Former Microgaming casino product lead joins UK casino operator’s online arm

Rank Interactive has hired former Microgaming casino product lead Cyrus Moreno to be its new head of game strategy.
Moreno, who will work out of Rank’s Gibraltar office, spent 10 months at Microgaming.
In his new role, he will oversee strategic initiatives at Rank’s digital arm, which encompasses the Mecca and Grosvenor digital businesses.
Prior to joining Microgaming, Moreno spent more than six years at B2B supplier Nektan, including five years as head of games and platform.
During his time at Nektan, he also served as head of operations, before transitioning to a head of product role with the firm in April 2019.
Moreno has also occupied online gambling roles at Ladbrokes, 888, bwin and bingo supplier Gtech.
The appointment is Rank Interactive’s second major Gibraltar-based hire of 2021, following the recruitment of former William Hill finance director Janice Duncan as CFO.
Earlier this month, UK investment banking specialist Peel Hunt selected Rank Group as a value stock for the coming year.
Analyst Peel Hunt picked 31 top-value public companies for 2021, with Rank the only gambling firm to make the list.
