Evolution unveils world’s first NFT slot via Red Tiger
Stockholm-listed supplier purchases four CryptoPunk NFTs and embeds them into new title
Evolution has launched the world’s first online slot focused on non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as it looks to cash in on the online crypto craze.
The casino supplier has integrated four unique CryptoPunk digital artworks that it purchased earlier this year into the new NFT Megaways title, which will be published via Red Tiger.
The six-reel, seven-row slot takes players into a pixelated world featuring the four unique CryptoPunks, which were originally created by Larva Labs.
The collectable characters are some of the very earliest examples of NFTs, with Evolution’s proof of ownership now stored on the ethereum blockchain.
Todd Haushalter, Evolution CPO, said players had the chance to be “part of history” with the new slot.
He said: “Evolution is in a unique position to contribute to the crypto-community by taking the first NFT on ethereum and featuring it in the world’s first NFT-based slot. We are honoured to now be part of the crypto-asset history.
“As a game, it’s going to appeal to lovers of slot games everywhere, as well as bringing in those crypto fans who want to see a new way of using this CryptoPunk artwork.
“The team has done a brilliant job on this launch, and we’re looking forward to the game being live,” he added.
