Playtech reshuffles board of directors as former EY and PWC tax veteran arrives
Supplier appoints tax veteran Linda Marston-Weston to non-executive director role as two board members step down

Playtech has made a series of changes to its board of directors led by the appointment of finance expert Linda Marston-Weston as a non-executive director.
Marston-Weston spent more than two decades with EY as a partner, board member and head of tax from 1999 until 2020, as well as nearly 15 years with PwC in a variety of roles from 1984 until 1999.
She is currently the head of transaction tax at accountancy firm Cooper Parry.
Marston-Weston will join the London-listed supplier from 1 October.
Elsewhere, senior independent director John Jackson and non-executive director Claire Milne will both step down from the board from 30 September.
Jackson was appointed to the board in January 2016 and most recently served as the chair of the audit committee, while Milne was appointed in July 2016 and served as group interim chair between May 2020 and May 2021.
Additionally, non-executive director Ian Penrose will become senior independent director from 30 September.
Brian Mattingley, Playtech non-executive chair, said: “I am delighted to welcome Linda to the board.
“In addition to her significant work in the areas of people, diversity and inclusion, Linda will bring a huge amount of experience, strategic insight, and technical expertise to Playtech having spent more than three decades advising businesses at board level.
“On behalf of the board, I’d like to express our thanks and appreciation to John and Claire for their contribution to Playtech’s development over the last five years which has been central in laying the foundations for the next phase ahead,” he added.
