Kambi inks BetEnt supply deal to enter Dutch market
Sports betting supplier to support local operator’s regulated online sportsbook launch

Kambi has secured a supply deal with local Dutch operator BetEnt to make its mark in the newly regulated Dutch market.
Kambi and BetEnt have entered into a multi-year agreement which will see Kambi support the operator’s online launch via its BetCity.nl sportsbook brand.
BetCity.NL will tap into Kambi’s technology and expertise across integrity and compliance as it gears up to offer legal online sports betting to Dutch customers.
BetEnt was confirmed as one of the first 10 licensees in the regulated Dutch gambling market, which opens for business today (1 October).
BetEnt was joined by local operators TOTO Online BV, FPO Netherlands BV and Holland Casino in receiving a licence, as well as international firms Bet365, tombola, GGPoker and LiveScore.
Kristian Nylén, Kambi CEO, said: “Kambi is delighted to have been selected as the exclusive online sportsbook provider to BetCity.nl and provide the support for them to launch on day one of the market opening.
“The Netherlands will be extremely competitive but the combination of Kambi’s technology and sports betting know-how with BetEnt’s sports-first strategy leaves the BetCity.nl sportsbook well placed to succeed,” he added.
While Kambi has secured a route into the Netherlands through this deal, the Malta-based supplier’s largest European client, Kindred’s Unibet sportsbook, has been forced to sit on the side-lines for now.
Just before the Netherlands went live, Kindred performed a U-turn and withdrew from the country after initially indicating it would carry on servicing the market.
