Mybet CEO Zeno Ossko departs
Ossk? to leave the firm at the end of August after just one year at the helm

Mybet CEO Zeno Ossko will leave the company on 31 August at his own request, to pursue “new professional and personal aims”, the firm announced this morning.
His executive board function will be taken over “for the time being” by CFO Markus Peuler who will lead the group in sole management responsibility.
Ossko has worked at mybet since 2004 and was head of gaming, then COO, before taking up the CEO role last July.
“As COO and later on as CEO I was able to initiate and implement necessary change processes within the company,” Ossko said.
“The last component will be the new high performance platform, which is ready for implementation on short notice and which I will still support completely. I am still convinced that the platform will raise the product offering of mybet to a new level.
“I terminate my long-time work at mybet solely by the desire to make use of a very special possibility for a personal and professional change that arose during a short space of time,” Ossko added.
Mybet was quick to point out that Ossko’s departure would have no impact on the launch of its new technical platform, which is expected to take place towards the end of July or the beginning of August, after a series of delays.
Dr. Volker Heeg, chairman of the mybet supervisory board, said the company appreciated Ossko’s work and regretted his decision to leave, but was “well prepared” for the future under Peuer.
He added: “The Supervisory Board is going to decide about the future structure of the Executive Board functions also depending on the start of the new IT platform.”
Mybet’s Q1 financial report saw online sports betting revenues slump 38%, with the subsequent cash crunch forcing the operator to sell off its stake in pferwetten.de and shut down its poker product.
Ossko also told EGR that mybet could be an ideal takeover target for operators looking to expand in the German market.
