Lottoland Aus appoints new marketing director
Bet-on-lotteries operator hires William Hill's Matthew Brinckley to lead marketing strategy of Australia-facing business

Lottoland has appointed William Hill Australia’s former head of commercial operations, Matthew Brinckley, as marketing director for the lottery firm’s Australia brand, EGR has learned.
Brinckley, who officially started his new role on Monday, joins Lottoland after working at William Hill for a number of years, with previous roles including head of CRM & VIP operations and most recently head of commercial.
He also worked at Centrebet, prior to its acquisition by William Hill in 2013, as CRM and promotions manager, poker marketing manager and gaming VIP manager.
Luke Brill, managing director of Lottoland Australia, told EGR Brinckley was a “key hire” for the bet-on-lotteries operator which debuted in the Australian market earlier this year.
“Since January we have continued to exceed expectation and growth targets, aggressively advertising both above and below the line and introducing more disruptive products such as Cash for Life and Kenow,” he said.
“We have moved into new offices in Sydney and have plans to build a locally based team with a mixture of gaming industry and new blood from other dynamic industries to ensure we maximise the opportunity in Australia.”
Brinckley’s appointment follows a major recruitment drive by Lottoland in recent months which has seen a number of senior personnel join the Gibraltar-based firm, including a new head of casino and VP of product.
Lottoland also appointed bwin.party’s former head of business development Mike Bogie to its Lottoland Solutions senior management team as the operator looks to unlock its “massive B2B potential”.
