Six UK-facing operators go live with Yggdrasil
Cherry-owned supplier celebrates UK lift-off with customers such as Unibet, Mr Green and Betsson

A clutch of operators including Unibet, Betsson and LeoVegas have expanded their UK-facing gaming portfolios after supplier Yggdrasil completed its launch in the market.
Games powered by the Cherry-owned supplier went live in the UK today, with Mr Green, Vera&John and ComeOn also launching Yggdrasil games thanks to existing partnerships.
“We’re thrilled to be live in the UK, which is now an extremely important market for Yggdrasil,” Fredrik Elmqvist, Yggdrasil CEO, said.
“We’ve had a very encouraging start given that we only received our licence at the end of last year, and are already live with some operators.
“The UK marketplace is the most competitive in Europe, but we have a track record of succeeding in every market we enter, and I am confident our industry-leading platform and games will allow us to repeat the trick there.”
Yggrdrasil currently has UK contracts in place with six operators, and promises there are “more to follow”.
Yggdrasil’s portfolio contains a wide range of popular casino games, including Jokerizer, Vikings Go Wild, progressive jackpot Joker Millions, and Nirvana.
Last month, the firm published its full-year and Q4 financial results, which showed a 357% surge in full year revenues to SEK20.1m (?1.68m). The increase resulted in EBITDA of SEK5.2m (?430,000) for the year, after posting negative SEK4.6m (-?380,000) in 2014.
Fourth quarter results were even more impressive, with revenues up 696% year-on-year to SEK10.4m (?870,000) and EBITDA of SEK4.9m (?410,000).
“Our aim at Yggdrasil is not to become the biggest provider in the market, but we certainly aim to be the best,” Elmqvist said at the time.
