Norsk Tipping CEO Almlid to depart
Torbj??rn Almlid will depart the state-run gaming operator at the end of the year
Norsk Tipping CEO Torbj??rn Almlid will step down from his position at the end of the year, with the state-run gaming operator on the hunt for a replacement.
Almlid has held the role since 2009, and Nork Tipping chairman Linda Silseth said he had done a “very good job” which last year helped the firm deliver record results.
“Accountability efforts intensified in parallel with new and innovative services for customers,” Silseth said. “The board would like to thank Almlid for his efforts and wish him continued success.”
Almlid said that after eight years in the role it was “appropriate” and “healthy” for the operator to bring in a new leader.
“I am grateful and proud of the results that have been created together with all employees in my tenure as CEO.
“Norsk Tipping is an important member of society to ensure that gaming takes in safe and responsible framework,” he added.
Last year Norsk Tipping reached an agreement with Playtech to supply new content for more than 4,300 interactive betting terminals across the country.
