Netherlands Gambling Authority shuts down Facebook group, Dordtse Queens
KSA found Dordtse Queens organising and advertising online bingo illegally through Facebook

The Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) has pulled down Facebook group Dordtse Queens for organising illegal online bingo.
The KSA found that Dordtse Queens’ eight administrators were advertising online bingo through their respective Facebook pages.
In addition, a wide range of people were exposed to the opportunity to participate in illegal bingo, including minors, through personal pages.
The KSA raised the issue with Facebook and the social media giant removed six pages affiliated with Dordtse Queens.
The KSA has been vigilant on cracking down on illegal online gambling following the newly regulated online gambling market going live in the Netherlands on 1 October.
The Dutch regulator stated: “The KSA takes action against organisers and providers of games of chance that do not have a licence.
“The KSA monitors that participants in games of chance can do so safely and that participation in illegal games of chance is prevented,” it added.
Earlier this month, the KSA singled out 25 gambling websites during an investigation to determine if Dutch players could access them.
The review took place following the regulator’s amendment to its priority setting and policy on fines relating to illegal providers from 1 November.
