Kindred Group partners with Gamban for Unibet French rollout
Unibet becomes the first operator in France to offer Gamban’s software following a new partnership between the two firms

Kindred Group has inked a new deal with Gamban to offer the safer gambling solutions provider with its Unibet brand in France.
Kindred previously sponsored Gamban’s transformation in the region, which on 10 November will see the platform be translated into French for the first time.
The rollout will be coupled with Kindred’s existing responsible gambling tools in France, with the Malta-headquartered operator praising Gamban as ‘one of the most effective tools’ for player self-control.
The operator hopes that the rollout of Gamban’s tools will provide wider safer gambling coverage for French players.
Currently, France’s safer gambling framework allows users to self-exclude or ban themselves from the 16 licensed operators in the country. Gamban allows players to block over 6,000 sites, including unlicensed operators.
Mathieu Drida, Kindred’s general manager of France, said: “At Kindred, we want gambling to remain a fun source of entertainment. As an online gambling operator, we take our responsibility towards our players very seriously and want to provide them with the most effective support tools on the market.
“This is what the partnership between Unibet and Gamban is all about, and we encourage all gambling operators to adopt this solution in order to make it more widely available in France.”
This partnership forms a part of Kindred’s responsible gambling policy, which includes its target to achieve 0% revenue from harmful gambling by the end of 2023, with the last report putting the figure at 3.8%.
Stephen Aupy, VP of partnerships at Gamban, added: “We are very excited to be assisting Kindred on their journey to derive 0% revenue from harmful gambling. Kindred’s voluntary commitment to offer Gamban for free in France means accessible blocking software can further protect those harmed by gambling from unlicensed operators outside the scope of regulation.
“Kindred’s commitment to best practice has led to them choosing Gamban to partner with, which illustrates the reliability of our solution to protect players and work toward the sustainability of the industry.”
This partnership could also be part of the long-term vision for the firm that CEO Henrik Tjärnström hinted at in a recent interview with EGR.
This deal comes after the operator signed an agreement with ATG and Svenska Spel, which sees the trio publish data metrics on problem gambling in Sweden.
