DraftKings eyes retail gains with Washington tribal deal
US sports betting operator inks agreement with Tulalip Tribe of Washington for two retail casino sportsbooks

DraftKings has agreed a market access partnership deal with the Tulalip Tribes of Washington that will see the creation of two-co-branded retail sportsbooks in the Evergreen State.
The sportsbooks will be located at the Tulalip Resort Casino and Quil Ceda Creek Casino, both located just 30-minutes north of Seattle in Tulalip, WA.
Initial design plans for the Tulalip Resort Casino, which has yet to be licensed for sportsbook, include a 5,000 square-foot space with a 50-foot video wall and more than two dozen kiosks and eight ticket windows.
Designs for the DraftKings Sportsbook at Quil Ceda Creek Casino is still early in the planning phase but are expected to feature state of the art technology.
Once operational, Washington will mark the 19th state in which DraftKings is live with its sportsbook product.
DraftKings senior retail sportsbook director Michael Kibort hailed the exclusive partnership as an exciting day for the US sportsbook operator in its expansion plans.
“In collaboration with the Tulalip Tribes of Washington, we look forward to bringing the very best in real-money gaming experiences to a state with a passionate fanbase spanning major professional sports leagues,” Kibort said.
Elsewhere, DraftKings has been outed as the only US sportsbook operator to have currently purchased advertising for next month’s NFL Superbowl LVI, scheduled to take place on February 13 according to latest data from media and marketing news site AdAge.
The site, which regularly compiles data on advertising by US businesses, lists the firm alongside Super Bowl regulars including Anheuser-Busch InBev, the company behind Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, as well as PepsiCo, which owns Pepsi, Doritos, Cheetos and M&M’s.
DraftKings aired two 15-second commercials during two quarters of last year’s SuperBowl, SuperBowl LV, which has been suggested could be increased to 30-second slots for this year’s showpiece game.
