PointsBet debuts soccer studio show in time for World Cup
Stoppage Time with Ian Joy to air three times per week and feature game previews and betting insights

PointsBet is leaving no stone unturned for its coverage of the upcoming World Cup, announcing on November 17 the debut of a soccer studio show featuring Scottish sports broadcaster and former professional football player Ian Joy.
Stoppage Time with Ian Joy will be produced in-house at PointsBet’s New York City studio and will provide viewers with game previews, analysis, and betting insights for every World Cup game.
The show debuted on November 17 and is set to air every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday following the start of the World Cup on November 20.
On hosting the show Joy said: “I’m honored and privileged to be partnering with a leading sportsbook like PointsBet to create one-of-a-kind soccer content for the World Cup and beyond. This World Cup will be unlike no other, and I’m excited to bring soccer fans and bettors a new way to enjoy every second of the tournament.”
The studio show represents the latest World Cup-driven initiative from PointsBet, which recently announced it will be rolling out over 130 unique in-play markets for bettors throughout the month-long tournament via its proprietary ‘OddsFactory’ technology platform.
Joy will provide a content-centric complement to PointsBet’s expansive betting menu, welcoming an array of guests – including former US soccer player Jimmy Conrad, insider Fabrizio Romano, betting expert Jon Eimer, and social media influencer Alex Ramos – to break down all the action taking place on the pitch in Qatar.
“With the most talked about soccer event beginning in just a few short days, we’re building PointsBet to be the premier destination for all things World Cup – from market-leading live betting options to best-in-class content,” said PointsBet USA SVP of content Liam Roecklein.
Stoppage Time with Ian Joy will be available on all podcast platforms as well as PointsBet’s social media channels and YouTube. It will also be integrated within betting markets on the PointsBet app.
“The interest in soccer continues to grow among the US betting community,” said Roecklein. “Whether you’re new to soccer or a veteran, this show will deliver a whole new experience for bettors.”
