Gaming Innovation Group acquires Finnish affiliate network

Guts.com owner pays â¬440,000 plus shares for unnamed Finland-based network as it continues to bolster affiliate business
Gaming Innovation Groupâs (GIG) online marketing subsidiary Innovation Labs today announced a deal to acquire an unnamed Finnish affiliate network for â¬440,000.
The Malta-based Guts.com owner will pay the initial sum plus 1,021,000 in new GIG shares for the network which it claimed would generate over 15,000 new depositing customers for its B2B clients.
âWe are delighted to conclude our second acquisition of a growing high value affiliate network in our target markets in a short timeframe,â Robin Reed, GIG chief executive, said.
âNot only are we increasing our capability of driving paying users to partnering operators, but we are also creating a distribution channel to bundle with our platform service iGamingCloud,â he added.
Last week GIG announced the appointment of Reed as the companyâs new CEO, replacing outgoing CEO Kjetil Aasen.
Reed previously worked for six years as managing director of the groupâs Malta-based subsidiary and was owner of the online sportsbook and casino brand Guts.com.
GIG was acquired by Nio Inc. in February for an unknown sum and recently took the decision to rebrand the company back to Gaming Innovation Group following a business review.
