Rank Group beefs up affiliate oversight
Operator says it is ready to terminate affiliate relationships if partners don’t respond to due diligence checks

Rank Group has adopted a much stricter oversight of its affiliate programme to ensure regulatory compliance is being met.
The operator, which controls the Grosvenor and Mecca digital affiliate programmes, today revealed it has introduced new requirements for new and existing affiliate partners.
The new processes include stricter due diligence checks on potential partners, as well as clear visibility on marketing activity to ensure the standards set by Rank and industry regulators are met.
Rank’s senior media manager Dana Bocker confirmed that affiliates should expect an email this week to highlight the information each partner needs to provide.
“Rank takes compliance very seriously and is committed to ensuring a fair and secure playing environment for customers and a transparent, profitable affiliate platform for our partners,” said Bocker.
The operator which yesterday reported double digit online growth, also confirmed that partners who don’t respond in time or provide the correct information will face suspension and withheld payments.
Bocker added: “It’s business as usual despite the changes, and we’re looking forward to an exciting year. Mecca Bingo is back on TV, we have new operating brands coming this year and performance is strong.
“We’ll be at LAC throughout the conference and happy to meet partners to discuss the upcoming changes and how they can do more business through the affiliate programmes.”
The news arrives just two days after Paddy Power Betfair and 888 announced they were closing more UK affiliates to ensure regulatory compliance.
