Betway brings affiliate programme in-house
Operator will take full control of affiliate management to ensure the “highest standards of regulatory compliance”

Betway has become the latest operator to change its affiliate policy in a bid to meet the industry’s increasingly stringent regulatory standards.
The operator’s third-party affiliates and lead generation partners will now be managed in-house to ensure compliance is being met across several of its operational territories.
Its affiliate programme is currently managed by Buffalo Partners, which will be migrated into the core business as part of the restructuring.
The transfer to Betway will begin on 1 March 2018 and the operator has pledged to assist its affiliate partner to secure a smooth transition.
Betway CEO Anthony Werkman said: “Managing the affiliate sector is vital in maintaining Betway’s values, so to ensure that we remain fully compliant with changing regulatory requirements, we will be formally bringing our affiliate programme in-house.
“We value our affiliate partners greatly and look forward to working with them over the next few years in order to grow this successful area of the business.
“In doing so we will be focusing on delivering the highest regulatory standards in all our markets, as well as ensuring that a clearer alignment with Betway values and systems is in place, and through that greater overall transparency and accountability is achieved.”
“We will continue to work alongside regulatory bodies to ensure a safe and fair environment for all.”
Last week, Rank Group announced that it would perform due diligence checks on all of its affiliates, while Paddy Power Betfair and 888 slashed more UK partners in January.
