Senet Group waives copyright to “When the Fun Stops, Stop”
The responsible gambling body has urged all operators to adopt the slogan ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia

The Senet Group has waived copyright restrictions to its ‘When the Fun Stops, Stop’ slogan to allow non-members to adopt the strapline ahead of the 2018 World Cup.
The responsible gambling body wants all gambling operators to use the trademark tagline to increase the scale of the campaign in the build up to this summer’s tournament in Russia.
According to Senet Group, the campaign has reached an estimated 82% of regular UK gamblers, with 33% confirming the “When the Fun Stops, Stop” slogan has helped them gamble more responsibly.
The Group today sent a letter to all major high street betting, casino, gambling, arcade and bingo operators asking them to incorporate the responsible gambling message in all industry advertising.
Senet Group chair Gillian Wilmot said: “The When the Fun Stops, Stop campaign has proven its ability to connect meaningfully with players and to help tackle problem gambling.
“Some seven weeks before the football World Cup kicks off in Russia, during which an estimated £1 billion will be wagered in the UK on the competition, the gambling industry has an opportunity to demonstrate its global leadership in self-regulation by uniting behind a powerful responsible messaging campaign that is shown to have excellent engagement levels,” she added.
