Scientific Games raids Superbet for sportsbook marketing team
Three Superbet marketing execs follow Stuart Weston across the Rock to SG Digital’s newly-assembled sportsbook division

Scientific Games (SG) has appointed three Superbet executives to run the marketing department for its newly-established sportsbook operations team in Gibraltar.
Marketing specialists Charlie Riggs, Ric Leask and Allison Lynch have all followed former Superbet MD Stuart Weston in making the switch across the Rock to SG Digital’s sportsbook division.
Briggs was head of marketing at Romanian betting operator Superbet having previously worked as head of internal communications at William Hill.
Leask, a former head of casino at Ladbrokes Coral, was head of gaming marketing at Superbet for 10 months while erstwhile Playtech employee Lynch was Superbet Digital’s head of optimisation.
The trio will be supported by a team of 25 at SG Digital and tasked with managing brand and customer research, acquisition and retention, optimisation and analytics.
Keith O’Loughlin, SVP sportsbook at SG Digital, said: “These hires immediately ramped up our sportsbook efforts, empowering us to continue to build top-tier sportsbook technology for our global partners while simultaneously managing daily operations.
“We’re thrilled to have talented individuals with deep industry experience on board and our marketing services will further cement our position as a leader and innovator in sports betting.”
Superbet recently downsized its operations in Gibraltar in a bid to cut costs.
The appointments also continue a flurry of activity around Sci Games’ OpenBet sportsbook, as the provider looks to create more of a ‘one-stop shop’ sportsbook platform with managed trading and operations for potential US partners.
In recent months the firm also acquired US pricing provider Don Best, and is understood to be in the running to acquire Sporting Solutions.
