Bet-at-home strikes Bundesliga sponsorship deal
Frankfurt-listed operator signs a three-year agreement with German football club Hertha

Betclic Everest Group subsidiary bet-at-home has secured a three-year agreement with Hertha BSC to become the Bundesliga football club’s new shirt sponsor.
The deal is the first time bet-at-home has sponsored a team in Germany’s top football division and the operator’s marketing director Michael Gierke said it was a significant milestone for the firm.
“As the main sponsor of Hertha BSC, we are now strongly represented in the German Bundesliga, one of the best leagues in the world,” Gierke said.
“I regard it as an important step in our efforts to further increase awareness of bet-at-home.com and at the same time to support a traditional club with its further development,” he added.
Under the terms of the agreement bet-at-home will also gain prominent in-stadium advertising rights, in addition to launching major online and social media campaigns in partnership with the Berlin-based club.
“Hertha BSC and bet-at-home.com will represent a modern, lively and imaginative alliance of two excellent brands – together we want to be a convincing double act in the years to come,” Michael Preetz, director for sport at Hertha BSC, said.
“Over four million people around the world put their faith in the popular betting provider – an impressive figure that says a lot about our partner’s great popularity,” he added.
