Singer Ed Sheeran pitches an idea for a TV ad to Heinz

To celebrate Heinz’s 150th anniversary and the release of his own branded sauce, singer Ed Sheeran has written, directed, starred in and narrated the latest Heinz Tomato Ketchup TV ad.

Sheeran got in touch with the brand through Instagram to tell them he had written a TV ad and to see if Heinz would be interested in working together. The ketchup super fan even has the food company’s logo tattooed on his arm and he carries it everywhere with him, including to posh restaurants.
In his TV ad debut, Sheeran brandishes a bottle of the famous Heinz Tomato Ketchup while sat in a super posh restaurant – much to the horror of his fellow diners.
To celebrate the singer’s new-found relationship with Heinz, his own branded sauce “Heinz Tomato Edchup” hit supermarket shelves this month.
The global campaign, created by David the Agency, will be supported by social, TV and print.
