Oddschecker closes Australia business
The Stars Group-owned affiliate business pulls out of Australia to focus on more lucrative international markets

Oddschecker Global Media has closed its Australian-facing affiliate business with immediate effect.
After 14 April, Oddschecker Australia will no longer be offering odds comparison or tips in Australia due to restrictive marketing legislation in the country.
EGR understands Australian sports betting operators including TopSport have stopped offering bonus offers to ease their tax burden in states including Victoria.
The Stars Group-owned media firm will now prioritise other markets including the UK and the US, as its Oddschecker.com and Oddschecker.com/us sites remain open for business.
A post on the website read: “The decision to close down the business was not an easy one and we are very grateful for the support we’ve got from all our loyal customers over the last six years.
“We hope everyone is staying safe during this troubling period and you continue to use our other sites to view odds and read tips on your favourite sporting events.”
Oddschecker is continuing to offer tips on horseracing, golf, soccer, rugby, NFL, MBA and MLB despite the coronavirus pandemic causing serious disruption to the sporting calendar.
