LeoVegas launches industry education campaign
Swedish operator aims to eradicate negative conceptions of the gaming industry in new marketing initiative

LeoVegas has unveiled a new advertising campaign which aims to educate the wider public about the gambling industry.
The tagline, ‘Play safe, Play online, Play at LeoVegas’, acts as an umbrella to a range of facts and information that LeoVegas hopes will help to dispel industry misconceptions.
The Swedish-facing campaign encourages bettors, both regular and potential, to commit to licensed companies such as LeoVegas as they adhere to AML, KYC and tax regulations.
The operator also highlights its deposit and playing limits feature, its relationship with self-exclusion site Spelpaus and the fact the firm holds a Swedish gaming licence.

LeoVegas communications director Hans Uhrus said: “As for so many fast-growing and relatively new industries, there is often a great ignorance and misunderstanding of the business and its industry logic. This is also the case for the gaming industry.
“In our upcoming campaign, we address both new and existing players, but also those who do not play. We want to highlight how important it is that those who want to play choose the licensed companies and not unlicensed companies.
“We want to highlight this [responsible gambling] in our advertisements and show some of the things we do and how the Swedish regulated market works,” he added.
