Stake.com to sponsor middleweight unification fight in Japan
Hotly anticipated GGG versus Murata bout in Japan to feature crypto-first betting firm’s logo on ring and home fighter’s trunks

Crypto betting and gaming operator Stake.com will sponsor the middleweight unification fight between Gennadiy “GGG” Golovkin and Ryota Murata in the 36,000 capacity Saitama Super Arena, Japan on 9 April.
Under the remit of the agreement, the ring will feature the Stake.com logo in prominent positions, as well as the ring-walk shirt and trunks of the home fighter, Murata.
The sponsorship of one of Japan’s biggest ever fights further adds to the sponsorship portfolio that Stake.com has accrued in recent years, joining a stable that includes Sergio Aguero, the UFC and the shirt sponsorship of Premier League side Watford.
Stake.com has also confirmed that it will be undertaking in-arena activation offering giveaways to those in attendance as well as online competitions to those watching at home.
Dominic Rae, Stake.com sponsorships manager, said: “We’re delighted to be backing Big Drama in Japan and a boxing superstar in the shape of Murata. Everyone at Stake.com is eagerly anticipating the fight and both fans in attendance on the night and those watching worldwide are guaranteed a memorable night thanks to our in-arena giveaways and on-site promotions.”
Murata said: “Stake.com’s ambition in crypto gaming matches mine in the ring. It’s an honour to join Stake.com’s roster of worldwide talent as their representative in Japan and I cannot wait to put on a show that lives up to the excitement around their debut in my homeland.”
