Betsson plots Spanish sportsbook launch
Operator has signed a two-year agreement for BetConstruct to supply its betting platform

Betsson is planning to launch a Spain-facing sportsbook brand that will be powered by BetConstruct’s sports betting platform.
Speaking to investors on Friday, group CEO Pontus Lindwall said the operator had signed a two year contract with the supplier, which is already licensed to operate in Spain.
“In order to save time to market we are using that platform,” Lindwall said. “The market is important for us now.”
An BetConstruct statement said the partnership included integrating Sportsbook with full access to pre-match and live betting coverage.
“We are thrilled to seal a partnership with Betsson group to provide our state-of-the-art Sportsbook to their new venture in Spain,” said Kristina Hambardzumyan, BetConstruct’s regional director in Malta.
“Betsson group is known as a company providing to its customers the best products in the industry and choosing BetConstruct as Sportsbook provider for Spain market emphasises their good taste in Gaming.”
Betsson’s flagship Betsafe, Betsson and Nordic Bet sportsbook brands are all powered by the operator’s in-house OBG platform.
In August, the operator began a company wide roll-out of its updated sportsbook product with improved UI and faster betting times.
The product was timed to launch during the Premier League season and has been well received by customers, the firm said.
