Microgaming develops new poker client for improved UX
‘Prima’ client includes profit and loss tracking tool and increased graphic resolution for new devices

Head of product for network games, Alex Scott, said the product has been built with new technology to ensure it can support new and upcoming devices.
An ‘Ultra HD’ feature has been integrated into the product to increase graphic resolution on retina display and UHD supported devices.
In a blog post Scott said: “With our new client, we have moved on, and are using modern, cross-platform technologies.
“For the first time ever, we can develop a feature once, and release it to all supported devices at the same time.”
The client has also been built with user experience and player behaviour in mind with a new profit and loss tracking tool built into the client.
“We’ve implemented best-practice techniques throughout the whole development lifecycle, including greater use of automation and more transparency,” Scott said.
“While other poker providers struggle with the same legacy issues we have been battling for years, we are finally leaving them behind.”
Operators currently on the Microgaming Poker Network include Paf, Betsson, 188Bet, Betway, Betsafe, and GiG.
Poker has been enjoying something of a revival around Europe, with figures released by the Spanish regulator in Q1 showing a 42% rise in revenues to €21.5m.
