Gaming Innovation Group taps Checkmarx for security improvements
Security specialist firm will integrate source code security testing software to improve app development

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has partnered with Checkmarx to provide static application security testing (SAST) in a move to “scale and build on the maturity of its application security”.
SAST is a testing methodology that analyses source code to search for security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in applications.
Checkmarx will integrate its high-speed CxSAST product to provide custom code security analysis to GiG developers, which will allow them to identify and rectify security issues at a single point.
This process will streamline GiG product development and continue to solidify its position as a trusted digital company.
Chris Armes, GiG chief information officer, said: “Partnering with Checkmarx forms part of the wider initiative of integrating security throughout the development lifecycle of our partner’s online casino or sports betting sites.
“The partnership will help to fuel our primary security objective of engineering secure products throughout GiG’s ecosystem,” he added.
Checkmarx’s Christopher Brennen commented: “We’re pleased that an innovator like GiG has chosen to utilise CxSAST and are confident that our partnership will allow them to instil cyber resilience into the software they develop, setting the standard for software security in the igaming industry.”
