Lindar Media adds open banking payment solutions
MrQ.com operator bolsters payments portfolio with addition of open banking technology for UK consumers

Lindar Media has added open banking to its list of payment solutions for its UK bingo and casino site MrQ.com.
Open banking allows customers to quickly make deposits and make withdrawals into bank accounts with minimal waiting times.
The technology eliminates the need for payment gateways, bank-led checks and card details. Open banking can also be authorised using biometrics, which can significantly reduce potential fraud and abuse cases.
Open banking is being slowly rolled out on the MrQ.com platform and will join the operator’s existing payment options, which include debit cards, PayPal and carrier billing.
MrQ.com joins Stockholm-listed LeoVegas and Casumo as the only operators in the UK to offer open banking as a payment solution.
Savvas Fellas, Lindar Media managing director, believes open banking can become a primary payment method for most users.
He said: “Open banking is a real challenge to implement and heavily nuanced from an implementation point of view. But the benefits are big and great for both operators and users.
“Operators get to reduce chargeback, fraud and abuse liabilities and the user gets the most seamless and safest withdrawal journey, cutting out what is by comparison, a long supply chain before money reaches your account,” he added.
