PokerStars rolls out Evolution live casino offering

PokerStars has bolstered its online casino product with the launch of live casino games, the firm revealed this morning.

The Evolution Gaming-powered platform offers live dealer versions of roulette, blackjack, baccarat and casino hold’em.

PokerStars said live casino had been made available in “many” of its global markets after the company first rolled out the offering in Spain last month.

“Live dealer games appeal to a broad array of players who enjoy the added level of authenticity and trust that comes from seeing the action occur in the analogue world,” Sam Hobcraft, PokerStars director of casino games, said.

“Players will enjoy the convenience of playing poker, casino and live casino games in the same place, with the same protection of player funds, the same fast payment processing and the same trust that they have come to expect from PokerStars,” he added.

Evolution said the PokerStars’ live casino room was the “largest dedicated environment” it had ever created, with nine tables.

“The scale and sophistication of the PokerStars area, and their investment in the latest Immersive Lite studio installation for a showcase live roulette table, is a clear indication of PokerStars’ confidence in Evolution Live Casino,” Sebastian Johannisson, head of account management at Evolution, said.

The addition of live casino is just part of PokerStars’ move towards becoming a multi-vertical operator, with the launch of its hotly-anticipated sportsbook due by the end of this month.
