
UK operator CasinoFloor signs up Rio Ferdinand
Former England captain announced as face of brand as operator looks to grow its presence in the UK online casino and sportsbook market
UK-facing operator CasinoFloor.com has signed-up Premier League footballer and former England captain Rio Ferdinand to help it make a splash in the competitive market.
CasinoFloor.com, whcih launched in 2013 and is powered and operated by EveryMatrix, offers more than 700 online slots games, including NetEnt titles Excalibur and Gonzo’s Quest, as well as a sportsbook product.
The deal with Ferdinand was announced as part of its ‘Look who we’ve just signed’ campaign, which sees Ferdinand appear on the CasinoFloor.com homepage under the strapline ‘Time for a new game’.
Ferdinand is also set to appear in a TV advert for CasinoFloor.com while the brand will be sponsoring the Live London TV channel.
CasinoFloor.com MD Jack Mizel said the Ferdinand partnership shows the operator is “a bold new brand” and will help the firm connect with its players.
“Just because we don’t have a front door to greet our players personally doesn’t mean that we don’t want to connect with them on a personal level,” Mizel said.
“Rio will give us the chance to reach out to players and offer them opportunities to engage with us directly, not only giving us a face but a voice too,” he added.
The deal comes shortly after Betway signed a £15m sponsorship deal with West Ham United.
