Oddschecker insights: bet365 retains Cheltenham top spot as clickshare slips
Online giant holds off challenge of William Hill and Flutter’s trio while BetUK, Unibet and Betway all make ground on 2022 efforts

Bet365 once again topped the Oddschecker Cheltenham Festival clickshare rankings for 2023 but saw its lead cut into by William Hill in second place.
The Stoke-on-Trent-based firm achieved a bet-slip clickshare of 23.9% to top the rankings over the four-days, retaining its first position from 2022.
However, bet365 did see its percentage share slip from 35.6% last year when it dominated the Oddschecker grid.
Hills jumped up from third place to finish behind bet365 as its clickshare rose from 10.9% to 15.7%.
Flutter Entertainment’s trio of UK brands – Paddy Power, Sky Bet and Betfair Sportsbook – finished in third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Paddy Power’s clickshare rose from 9.8% to 10.5% while Sky Bet and Betfair both recorded downturns to 9.2% and 7%, respectively.
Challenger brand BetUK caused a splash on the grid after coming out of nowhere to net a 4.6% clickshare in an impressive performance.
The LeoVegas-owned brand was supported by the best-performing sign-up offer of the week with its ‘bet £20 get £60 in free bets’ promotion.
Unibet and Betway also made strong gains on their 2022 performances. Unibet’s clickshare jumped from 1.9% to 3.9% while Betway moved from 1% to 2.7%.
Elsewhere, bet365 was best or joint-best price on 313 of the runners at this year’s festival. William Hill and Paddy Power made up the top three with 229 and 221, respectively, while BetUK was fourth with market-leading odds for 210 runners.
Bet365 also had the lowest average overround during the festival at 120.3%. BetVictor (122.7%) and BetUK (123.1%) took the podium places in the overround battle.
