LeoVegas onboards industry newcomer into senior role
Sean Martin joins the Swedish operator to direct the firm’s sport content

LeoVegas has appointed Sean Martin to a senior role where he will be responsible of the firm’s sports betting content.
Martin’s confirmed job title at the firm is not yet known.
He joins LeoVegas after a lengthy career in sports media, including a near two-year term at regional news publisher Newsquest Media Group working on the online news site The Celtic Way, taking the lead as editor during his final year with the firm.
Despite joining LeoVegas, Martin will continue to write a column about Celtic for The Celtic Way.
Before his time with Newsquest, Martin spent over six years with Dundee-based DC Thomson, culminating in his final position as a digital sports journalist at The Press and Journal in Aberdeen.
Martin also spent time at the Scottish Football League side Greenock Morton, as well as stints working for Bleacher Report as a featured columnist, Ring News 24 as a sub-editor and as a reporter for the Clyde & Forth press publications covering Scottish football.
Speaking to the online news site Hold the Front Page, Martin said: “I’m immensely and genuinely proud of the work we have produced at The Celtic Way during my tenure, growing the website on all fronts to become what is, in my opinion, the highest-quality Celtic coverage around.
“While I will no longer be editing the title, I am delighted to confirm I’ve been offered a column to continue offering my own insight and analysis on the club on a regular basis while tackling my new role.
“With a talented team of contributors in place and ongoing material increases across the board, whoever succeeds me in the role will inherit an excellent platform to take The Celtic Way to the next level,” he added.
