Blexr acquires ThePOGG for a six-figure sum
Affiliate snaps up gambling review site to help diversify its online and B2B portfolio for undisclosed fee

The specific financial details on the deal are not yet known, but it has been confirmed that the Malta-and-Barcelona-based firm will acquire ThePOGG’s digital IPs and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) service as part of the agreement.
ThePOGG was founded by Duncan Garvie in 2011 and is now known as one of the UK’s leading online player communities. Garvie is also the founder and trustee of free-to-use blocking software organisation BetBlocker.
The gambling review site’s ADR service was the first affiliate dispute service to be approved by the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority.
As part of the agreement, Garvie will be joining Blexr.
Commenting on the acquisition, Blexr founder and CEO Paudie O’Reilly believes this acquisition will help the media publisher expand its range of brands.
He said: “We know this acquisition will be a great addition to our existing product portfolio and expand our presence in our target B2B markets.
“The work Duncan [Garvie] has done over the years to build a trusted service at ThePOGG.com is second to none and represents an enormous opportunity for Blexr to grow and develop that business.
“We have big plans in this space and are excited to see how it will grow in the coming months.”
Garvie added: “I’m incredibly proud to be joining Blexr. We at ThePOGG have worked hard to provide exceptional service to our users and clients over the past few years, and have developed the highest standards in the industry. I’m really happy to be joining an organisation that shares that same commitment.”
