Former Nordicbet MD Neill Garfield hired to lead Irish operator's marketing efforts

BoyleSports has appointed Neill Garfield as its new chief marketing officer, bringing to an end a three-month search to find a successor for the departed James Arnold, eGaming Review has learned.
A spokesperson for the Irish operator confirmed the hire yesterday, with the appointment of Garfield coming just days after eGR had reported him to have left his role as managing director of Betsson’s Nordics-facing sportsbook brand NordicBet.
Garfield had previously been head of marketing at Australian operator Tom Waterhouse ahead the firm’s sale to William Hill, and was also online marketing manager at Paddy Power earlier in his career.
He began his new role yesterday and will initially be based at BoyleSports’ Dundalk offices, although is expected to relocate to Gibraltar should BoyleSports gain an operating licence form the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner.
The operator recently announced it plans to swap its current Isle of Man and Alderney permits for a Gibraltar licence, with the Rock’s Ocean Village a likely destination for a 20-strong remote gaming hub.
Licence pending, a number of staff from its London and Dundalk-based offices are expected to make the move to Gibraltar, a relocation which saw Arnold decide to part ways with the firm.
BoyleSports recently undertook a rebranding exercise which comprised a redesigned logo and new mobile, tablet and desktop versions of its website. The operator also launched a new advertising campaign within its core Irish market with a major UK push planned for later this year.
