BetMGM looks to Massachusetts launch with Boston Red Sox partnership
Sportsbook licensee links up with MLB franchise icon ahead of March 10 debut

BetMGM has agreed to become the official sports betting partner of the Boston Red Sox ahead of the formal launch of online sports betting in Massachusetts on March 10.
The agreement with the Major League Baseball (MLB) is the first between a Commonwealth-native sports team and BetMGM.
Under the partnership, BetMGM signage will be featured at Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox, including on the iconic Green Monster, the ballpark’s left field wall.
The firm will also operate a suite at the stadium, curating VIP fan experiences for bettors.
In addition, co-branded content will be integrated across both Red Sox and BetMGM digital and social media platform channels.
“The Red Sox are one of baseball’s most beloved organizations and we’re thrilled to bring BetMGM to their passionate fans,” BetMGM chief revenue officer Matt Prevost said.
“We look forward to working together to elevate the gameday experience in Boston,” he added.
BetMGM is one of seven operators set to launch in Massachusetts on March 10, having gained a license to operate in the Commonwealth after extensive licensing meetings with the Massachusetts Gaming Control Board (MGCB).
BetMGM parent company MGM Resorts serves as the official resort casino of the Boston Red Sox, having previously clinched a multi-year deal with the franchise.
It also serves as the naming rights partner of the MGM Music Hall at Fenway which opened in September 2022.
Boston Red Sox EVP of partnerships Troup Parkinson welcomed the partnership as the pair entering a “new era” of cooperation arising from the legalization of online sports betting.
“Given our strong relationship with MGM Resorts, BetMGM was the clear choice to become the first sports betting partner of the club, and we look forward to them offering sports betting opportunities to our fans in a safe and responsible manner,” Parkinson added.
