Ex-Metro Play MD unveils new egaming brand
Tau Gaming's online casino and bingo sites will be powered by 888's Dragonfish network
Former Metro Play managing director Jamie Walters (pictured) has revealed plans to launch new online casino and bingo brands powered by 888’s B2B Dragonfish network.
Walters has teamed up with Gamesys’ former head of acquisition James Newman to launch Tau Gaming, which is set to go live with its first casino product before Christmas.
The operator will offer more than 250 casino games from the Dragonfish proprietary portfolio, plus a number of third-party games already integrated into the platform.
The UK-focused site is targeted at slots enthusiasts, with mobile and social channels being used to drive player acquisition and growth.
Tau Gaming will also launch a bingo site using the Dragonfish bingo network in early 2015, and will reveal the brand name closer to it go-live date.
“We wanted to work with the very best in the industry to enable us to deliver our ambitious goals, and we have done that with this deal,” Tau Gaming co-founder Jamie Walters, said.
“We can now focus on building the best slots and bingo products on the market with total confidence.”
“We’re looking forward to a successful long-term partnership with Tau as we roll out their new brands on the Dragonfish casino and bingo platforms,” Yaniv Schwartz, head of Dragonfish, said.
Walters left Metro Play in September after parent company DMG Media sold the operator 666bet for an undisclosed fee.
