666Bet prepares for Asia launch
Operator opens office in Taipei City ahead of 666Bet's Asia launch later this year

666Bet will target the potentially lucrative Asian market after opening an operations office in Taipei City, the capital of the China Republic region of Taiwan, eGaming Review can reveal.
The sportsbook operator has appointed former 188Bet business development director Robert Robinson to head up the office with Robinson set to split his time between Taipei and the UK.
Speaking to eGR, 666Bet CEO Barry Martin (pictured) said the operator expected to launch an Asia-focused sportsbook site in the next few months as it looked to take advantage of the increased exposure the brand following a number football sponsorship deals.
“We’ve now got our Asia team in place based down in Taipei and that is moving ahead very quickly,” Martin said.
“We should be ready to launch by the end of the year and because of our wide-ranging marketing activity, especially in the Premier League, our overall exposure into Asia has been enormous so we are now looking to maximise on that marketing spend,” he added.
The 666Bet sportsbook platform will be powered by ONEworks, a supplier which provides products specifically geared towards the Asian market.
The news comes after eGR recently revealed 666Bet had acquired Metro Play from DMG Media for an undisclosed fee while the ambitious operator said it was also in talks regarding a number of additional acquisitions.
