
SBTech next to launch rapid in-play markets
Sports betting supplier becomes the latest to debut in-play markets that settle within one and five minutes
SBTech has become the latest supplier to roll out rapid in-play sports betting markets that settle within one and five minutes of bets being placed.
The new markets offer customers the chance to bet on what will happen during a football match or other sporting event within a particular period of time, with SBTech offering markets on goals, corners, free kicks, throw-ins or bookings.
The product is available on SBTech’s online, mobile and retail platforms and 10Bet, ComeOn and NetBet are the first operators to go live with the product with more set to adopt it during the next quarter.
UK licensee 10Bet launched the markets before the start of this summer’s World Cup and the operator’s head of player affairs Daniel Caswell said they had “generated a considerable amount of bets while increasing average turnover per player”.
“The introduction of fast markets will target the needs of recreational players who want to enjoy a richer live betting experience to heighten their sense of excitement and involvement while watching a match,” Itai Zak, CEO at SBTech, said.
Rapid in-play markets have emerged in recent weeks as operators look to tailor their live betting products to a new audience.
Coral Interactive last week debuted its equivalent product after signing with Las Vegas-based Metric Gaming for their SuperLive product, while BetVictor has also launched a similar product dubbed ‘minute to win it’.
