Sporting Index unveils tablet site
Spread betting operator continues mobile focus with new tablet-optimised site

Sporting Index has launched a tablet-optimised site as it looks to increase its mobile capability ahead of this summer’s football World Cup.
Developed in-house by the Sporting Index Group’s London-based software engineering team, the tablet site provides users with a similar depth of markets and products available on its desktop site.
Customers attempting to access sportingindex.com via a tablet browser will be automatically directed to the new site and compliments the separate mobile and tablet app which was released to the Apple App Store in January.
According to Gregory Karaolis, Sporting Index web and mobile product manager, the development of the new tablet site forms part of the company’s efforts to ensure the Sporting Index experience is replicated across all channels.
“One of the biggest challenges for any company with an online presence is being able to provide content and services across multiple platforms to a high standard,” Karaolis said.
“Our latest tablet offering delivers exactly that “ fluency and slickness across an extensive range of devices, with the depth of content you would expect from a traditional desktop website,” he added.
The move comes ahead of what many expect to be a mobile-led World Cup with operators racing to improve their mobile capability ahead of the big kick-off on 12 June.
And with around 200 in-running markets available on every tier one football match, Sporting Index was keen to ensure tablet customers would have quick and easy access to these markets during the tournament.
