Boylesports unveils revamped sportsbook site
New site places in-play betting at the heart of experience " half of customers already migrated
Boylesports has overhauled its sportsbook site to put in-play betting “at the heart” of the customer experience.
The new site, launched earlier this month, features 500% more in-play product than this time last year.
Customers will be able to choose between the old and new site for another two to three weeks, however more than half of existing customers have already made the switch.
Boylesports CTO Keith O’Loughlin (pictured) said a key motive behind the changes was to bring everything a customer needed onto one page, including in-running sports scores, fixtures, and both ante-post and in-play betting.
The operator has ditched its Flash-designed software for HTML5 and the site, built on its proprietary platform, is optimised for mobile and tablet devices as well as desktop.
“We’ve spent the last 18 months building up our in-play product range, and now we’re ready to really push it. It’s a huge step for the business,” O’Loughlin said.
“The old site was designed when in-play represented a small percentage of the offering, but that has clearly changed. We wanted to put it at the heart of the experience.”
In addition, Boylesports’ casino, poker and bingo sites have all been subject to a facelift.
Last year the Irish operator opened a London office as part of its plans for growth in the UK online gambling market.
