Wynn issued transactional waiver in New Jersey
Operator has partnered with Caesars and 888's All American Poker Network in the Garden State, but has put launch on hold

Wynn Interactive has been issued a transactional waiver by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, giving the operator the green light to go live with its egaming platform in the state.
However in an unexpected U-turn Wynn Interactive has put plans to launch its internet gaming operations in New Jersey on hold while the market matures.
“As Mr. Wynn said this weekend, online gaming does not appear to be a good entrepreneurial opportunity,” Wynn spokesman Michael Weaver told The Associated Press. “Consequently, our plans are on hold until we understand the business opportunity.”
Wynn Interactive filed a joint petition for licensure with Caesars Interactive and the All American Poker Network on 10 January. In December last year Wynn appeared to be ramping up its efforts to enter the New Jersey egaming market after posting a job advert for a new online gaming director.
Wynn and AAPN parent company 888 signed an online poker partnership last year to operate a Wynn branded platform in Nevada and other regulated US markets.
A separate agreement between Wynn and Caesars, who have partnered with 888 in Nevada and New Jersey, would see Caesars host Wynn’s gaming servers in one of its Atlantic City properties.
The New Jersey egaming market has got off to a slow start, with gross gaming revenues from the month of December totaling US$7.4m. However those figures are expected to rise as issues with geolocation and payment processing are overcome, and operators start to aggressively market their platforms and products.
