
Wänghammar appointed Mr Green Malta CEO
Former CEO Marcus Nylén to head up mobile casino business Garbo.com which Mr Green has option to acquire
Malta-based online casino operator Mr Green has appointed Bo Wänghammar as its new CEO with current chief exec Marcus Nylen moving to head up Garbo.com.
Marcus Nylén will lead Garbo.com, the newly-launched mobile casino business aimed at the female market that Mr Green has an option to acquire.
Wänghammar worked for bwin.party from 2007 to 2010, latterly as head of B2C, and has since served as CEO of Swedish eyewear firm LensWay.
“Bo Wänghammar is the right person to lead the work of developing Mr Green’s already strong position,” said group CEO Mikael Pawlo.
Nylén was Mr Green CEO for just under a year, having taken on the role from co-founder Pawlo in February 2013.
He was formerly CEO of Swedish-based private equity firm Fafner Invest, while he previously held a similar role with internet service provider Bredbandsbolaget.
“We are delighted that Marcus Nylén is taking the helm at Garbo now that the company is ready to be launched internationally,” said Pawlo. “Marcus has long experience of corporate start-ups and has valuable expertise about the industry from his time as CEO of the online casino Mr Green.”
Garbo.com offers a suite of real-money and freeplay casino games from Net Entertainment, including slots, roulette and blackjack.
