
Paddy Power signs Realistic mobile deal
Multi-year agreement sees developer supply HTML5 games for tablets and smartphones
Paddy Power has selected Realistic Games to provide it with a selection of mobile gaming content as part of a multi-year deal.
The 14 games included in the deal have all been specifically designed for iPhones and iPads as well Android and other tablet devices, and include roulette, blackjack, and 5-reel and 3-reel slots. They will be delivered on Realistic Games’ own in-house ReGaL server, via an Openbet RGI integration.
Paddy Power has invested in its mobile strategy of late, having launched its casino platform as a downloadable iPhone app in February. The platform launched with 25 slots games, five table games including blackjack as well as roulette, and four virtual sports games “ horseracing, football, greyhounds and motor racing.
Earlier that month it added to its mobile gaming portfolio with the release of a Las Vegas-themed casino app for iOS, developed in partnership with Viaden Gaming.
In the operator’s most recent financial results for the year ended 31 December, mobile contributed 32% of group online revenues after a 185% year-on-year increase to 129m.
Paddy Power mobile games manager Lucinda Kelly commented that the company was “very pleased to have partnered with Realistic Games.” She explained that Realistic’s “passion, product knowledge, and understanding of the industry was crucial in [Paddys’] decision to select them” and that she was “convinced our customers are going to love their games”.
Realistic Games commercial director Andy Harris added that the deal “fits in perfectly with [his company’s] strategy of partnering with industry-leading operators around the world “ and they don’t come any bigger or better than Paddy Power.
“They are very much aligned with us in terms of our focus on mobile and belief that the channel is the key to future success in egaming. I’m confident this will be a great deal for both parties,” he concluded.
