PokerStars launches four new Omaha games
Courchevel, Courchevel Hi/Lo, 5 Card Omaha Hi/Lo and 5 Card Omaha to go live by end of week.

PokerStars has announced four new Omaha games which will launch by the end of the week, the first new games the operator has added since 2008.
Courchevel, Courchevel Hi/Lo, 5 Card Omaha Hi/Lo and 5 Card Omaha will be offered on Stars’ dot.com and dot.country websites.
All four games will be made available at ‘pot limit’ tables, with a maximum blind of US$200/$400, while the two Courchevel offerings will also feature on ‘fixed limit’ tables with the highest blinds set at $1,000/$2,000.
Team PokerStars pro Johnny Lodden said of the launches: “Hopefully these games will be a great success and more people around the world will find them fascinating. A good tip for beginners in 5 Card Omaha is to fold low cards as it can turn out to be an expensive mistake “ you will often flop a part of the board but very often will not draw to the nuts.”
PokerStars is one of 14 bidders for a contract with the Delaware Lottery, it has emerged this week, although the operator faces competition from 13 other applicants including 888 and an Amaya Gaming “ Bally Technologies consortium.
Stars is also applying for a casino licence in New Jersey through a planned acquisition of the struggling Atlantic Club Casino, although its potential US re-entry has been opposed by the American Gaming Association.
