Locaid and CAMS sign mobile deal
Ultimate Gaming signed up as first customer of mobile geolocation service last week.
Central Account Management System (CAMS) and Locaid have entered into a partnership to offer a location-based player identification and management system for mobile gaming operators.
CAMS, a subsidiary of global electronic payment company Verifi, became the first company licensed to offer geolocation services for online poker in Nevada in November, as well as the second to offer payment processing services after Global Cash Access.
Its new partnership with Locaid sees the two companies able to provide what they describe as a “360° location solution” for the mobile gaming operators.
Last week the pair signed up their first client, Fertitta Interactive’s egaming brand Ultimate Gaming, with Ultimate Gaming CTO Chris Derossi saying of the deal: “By working with CAMS we are able to reduce our internal programming costs, centralise many of our daily operating functions and at the same time reduce nearly 30% of our upfront and ongoing monthly costs from the same vendors we intended to work with.”
Locaid president and CEO Rip Gerber said of the agreement: “Location is critical to the mobile gaming industry and as the industry continues to grow the number of customers will increase and regulations will become more complex.
“The location solution with CAMS not only meets today’s strict requirements but is scalable and flexible to support the needs of mobile gaming companies as their customer bases expand,” added Gerber.
