Gtech G2 announces rebrand
Gtech G2 rebrands to SPIELO G2 to incorporate last year's merger of the two Lottomatica businesses.

Gtech G2 has rebranded to SPIELO G2 to incorporate last year’s merger of the two Lottomatica businesses, eGaming Review can confirm.
Lottomatica unified SPIELO International and GTECH G2 at the end of October last year in a bid to offer its customers “the best possible content, technology and a further route to market,” a spokesman said at the time.
Last year’s decision was taken to “make sure the business is in the best position to offer our customers the best possible content, technology as well as further route to market,” the spokesman said.
A spokesman for the company told eGR today that the brand integration “made sense because we are all one family, have one CEO and maintaining consistency is important”.
SPIELO International, and GTECH G2, Lottomatica group’s two year-old egaming and sports betting arm began pooling resources for their respective customers late last year with former SPIELO chief executive Walter Bugno taking the helm of the merged business.
GTECH’s interactive arm G2 was formed when it acquired Boss Media, Finsoft, St Minver, and Dynamite Idea between 2008 and 2009 in order to provide end-to-end gaming services, game content and technology solutions to fully-regulated customers operating lotteries, sports betting, interactive poker, casino style games, bingo, skill and regulated multi-player games.
