Odobo signs Rabcat partnership
Deal to sign up to Game Developer Platform comes just one week after Rabcat agreed a development partnership with Microgaming subsidiary QuickFire.

Vienna-based development studio Rabcat has agreed a partnership which will see the company become one of the first to join Odobo’s Game Developer Platform (GDP).
The first game to launch on the HTML platform provider’s Odobo Play portal will be The Legend of Olympus slot (pictured), voted game of the year by the Austrian Lottery in 2011, with more titles to follow.
Commenting on the partnership, Rabcat’s head of production Florian Schmid said: “Joining the Odobo Game Developer Program (GDP) and being able to leverage its Game Development Kit (GDK) has allowed us to create dynamic HTML5 games for a great experience on any device.”
The launch of Odobo’s development program and platform was announced last week, following 18 months of development by its 40-strong team. Based in Gibraltar, the company was founded by bet365 director Ashley Lang, who also serves as chief executive of the business.
The company is currently accepting applications to join its Game Developer Program from studios and producers, with Lang telling eGaming Review last week that it “presents a new opportunity for game developers to capitalise on the high-value players in the online gambling industry via distribution through licensed casino operators worldwide.”
In a statement today Lang added: “Since launching Odobo last week, the response and interest from developers and casino operators has exceeded our expectations. Expect additional partnership announcements in the coming weeks.”
Austrian studio Rabcat has previously worked with bwin in the egaming space, but has also worked on the development of video games for studios like Rockstar Games, Atari and Disney Interactive. Earlier this month it signed a development partnership with Microgaming open platform subsidiary QuickFire, described by Rabcat founder and chief executive Thomas Schleischitz as a deal which would “allow [the company] to greatly expand [its] capabilities and bring [its] range of innovative slots and games to new audiences.”
